Allen & Overy Gives Its Women Partners 82 Holidays a Year to Keep Them from Leaving the Firm
London-based Allen & Overy LLP is a member of Britain’s Magic Circle, an elite group of the top five or six law firms in that country.
It is also one of the biggest law firms in the world in terms of revenue.
But unlike other large law firms, it employs a secret in keeping its women partners from leaving the firm once they become mothers: give them 82 holidays a year, according to an August 19, 2010 report by Becky Barrow of the Daily Mail.
The corresponding pay of course will be at a reduced rate than those who don’t avail…
