Lawsuit Claims Attorney Pretended That Dismissed Case Was Still Pending
A former client of Seyfarth Shaw has filed a lawsuit against the firm and its partner David Wiseblood, a litigator who focuses on creditors’ rights litigation and related claims, for malpractice. The lawsuit claims that Wiseblood pretended that the plaintiffs’ $1.2 million loan default case was still pending, even though it had been thrown out because he had failed to pursue it.
The plaintiffs in the lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho, are Amresco Commercial Finance LLC and Deutsche Bank Trust Co. Wiseblood was counsel for Amresco, which was an advisor to Deutsche Bank, trustee…
