McGuire Woods Gets No Fees in BAR/BRI Action Due to Ethics Violation
McGuire Woods may have secured the $49 million class action settlement against BAR/BRI parent company West Publishing Corp., but it won’t get paid for it. Judge Manuel Real of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California has ruled that McGuire Woods will not get any of the $12 million in fees it has requested for its work on the case because the firm violated ethics laws.
