Phila. Firm Partner Arrested for Embezzling $1M from HIs Former Law Firm and Clients
Federal prosecutors have accused Jeffrey Abramowitz, a former partner at Philadelphia law firm Klevan & Abramowitz of embezzling more than $1 million from the firm and his clients.
The Indictment, unsealed Friday morning, charged Abramowitz with five counts of mail fraud and two counts of wire fraud., according to an August 20, 2010 report by Jeff Blumenthal of the Philadelphia Business Journal.The indictment referred to his former law firm Klevan & Abramowitz as “law firm no. 1” — which was located at 1515 Market St. He was arrested Thursday and will make his first court appearance Friday afternoon, according to…
