Omnibus Small Business Stimulus Bill Goes to Senate Panel after House Passage
Small Business Financing and Investment Act of 2009

An omnibus stimulus bill for small businesses, the Small Business Financing and Investment Act of 2009, H.R. 3854, has been referred to the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship after being read twice on the Senate floor. Earlier, the House of Representatives has agreed to favorably report the bill by a vote of 315 to 111 and referred it to the Senate.
H.R. 3854 is an omnibus small business package, comprised of eight individual bills dealing with small business loan programs of the Small Business Administration (SBA). The legislation also establishes two new small business programs. (See http://www.gop.gov/bill/111/1/hr3854).
