Passage by House of Telework Bill Next Step After Its Approval by House Committee and Senate
Telework Enhancement Act of 2010

Passage by the House of Representatives is the next step for the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010, a legislation that seeks to substantially increase the number of federal employees who telework or telecomute on a regular basis, after the Senate and the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee approved this bill.
The bill passed the Senate on May 24, 2010 by unanimous voice vote. Senators Daniel K. Akaka (D-Hawaii) and George V. Voinovich (R-Ohio) sponsored the bill in the Senate, while Congressmen Gerry Connolly, Frank Wolf, Jim Moran, and John Sarbanes were the House sponsors.
