USITC Conducts Section 337 Investigation on Infringement of Chrysler Auto Patents
Section 337 Investigation on Certain Automotive Vehicles and Designs

The U.S. International Trade Commission (“USITC”) has instituted an investigation of certain automotive vehicles and designs thereof. The products at issue in this investigation are “4x4” vehicles.
The investigation is based on a complaint filed by Chrysler Group LLC of Auburn Hills, MI, on May 14, 2010. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation into the United States and sale of certain automotive vehicles and designs thereof that infringe a patent asserted by Chrysler. The complainant requests that the USITC issue an exclusion order and a cease and desist order.
