Section 337 Investigation on Certain Inkjet Ink Cartridges with Printheads and their Components

The U.S. International Trade Commission (“USITC”) has voted to institute an investigation of certain inkjet ink cartridges with printheads and components thereof. The products at issue in this investigation are inkjet cartridges for printers.
The investigation is based on a complaint filed by Hewlett-Packard Company of Palo Alto, California and Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. of Houston, Texas, on May 25, 2010. A letter supplementing the complaint was filed on June 16, 2010.
Specifically, the complaint alleged violations of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation into the United States and sale of certain inkjet ink cartridges…
